Join Pack 45!
Hello and Welcome!
Pack 45 is a year round scouting program for boys K5 to 5th grade. Cub Scouting’s goal is to promote citizenship, service, and skills while having a ton of fun. We are a family friendly program and encourage moms, dads, and siblings to join us for meetings and activities.
Our Pack meetings are usually held the 1st Monday of each month. Pack Meetings are when all the dens meet together, receive awards, have an activity or participate in community service.
Dens (a group of boys in the same grade) meet monthly to work on age appropriate activities, such as visiting the fire house or a museum, building a pinewood derby car, learn first aid, fire safety, etc… all while making friends.
First time scouts are asked to register online. There will be a small fee collected by BSA for registering online. Pack dues are collected to cover some of our costs. Pack fundraising is in the fall when scouts sell popcorn and wreaths. New Tiger and Lion scouts are encouraged to sell, but not required to. We ask for everyone (2nd grade to 5th grade) to sell $150 worth of product. If a scout chooses not to sell or joins after Oct 1st, we collect a $75 fee in addition to Pack dues. The cost of a scouting year is around $135, we off-set that by fundraising. Fundraising covers the cost of rentals, programming, awards, and camping. If costs are a concern, please contact our committee. Our goal is to keep scouting affordable.
We ask parents to help in many different ways. For example: organizing events or a fieldtrip, arranging speakers, helping with different events, planning a den meeting or a game. Parents working together is why the program is fun for scouts, and sets a good example of leadership for the scouts.
